Project objective
To sympathetically update a beautiful five storey Grade II listed Georgian townhouse in the Peak District with some contemporary detailing.
With a wealth of original features from fireplaces, to staircases and architrave the house was already filled with warmth and grandeur but like any grande dame of a significant age it benefited from some tweaks. A stunning vintage chandelier, some delicate, handblown lighting pendants and an injection of vibrant colours lifted the already beautiful house in to showstopper territory

Renovation detail
It was essential that any work undertaken worked with the original features and within Listed Buildings Guidelines. This meant not altering the fabric of the building and focusing on redecoration rather than any reconfiguration.
The use of bold colours added contrast to the antiques filled spaces and provided a striking backdrop for the eclectic collection of artwork. Lighting created impact on entry and illuminated the imposing oak staircase. Elsewhere a more neutral colour palate was used to fill the rooms with light.
